The Problem
BlackLight is a project with big potential to make a huge difference but to launch they needed a Django development company to take on the challenges that come with this kind of business. The website that was needed for the task required a custom-coded Django framework to create the tools that make the resources accessible. Attention is being brought to bear on Black-owned businesses and with good reason. So many small businesses are falling to the wayside in post COVID times, and none more so than those owned and operated by persons of color. BlackLight is a comprehensive database of Black-owned businesses, their contacts, websites, and other business information, recommendations, and referrals for them. By creating a resource that puts all of this information in one place, businesses and communities otherwise overlooked can thrive through mutual support.
